  Ik i don’t get it either
  I have 6 piercings in my ears and am going to get my belly button done
  but the second i mention that i want a lip ring every ones horrified !

  This subject really gets under my skin. I have been judged for years because of facial piercings. It’s ridiculous for people to make assumptions based on jewelry. I think it’s pretty hypocritical. USUALLY, the folks that are against piercings/tattoos/etc, feel that way due to religious beliefs, yet have their ears pierced. ????? Others are just stuck in the fifties I guess. I can’t speak for any of them. When I meet someone, I look beyond appearances and actually pay attention to WHO they are, and not what they look like. After a long time of feeling anger towards those who insulted my face, or shot me dirty looks, I finally let the anger go. I realized that the metal in my face didn’t just show me the people that didn’t like piercings, but it showed me who was judge mental. I figured out that facial piercings/tattoos work really well as an idiot filter. The people that say you’re trashy or have no morals or whatever based on how you look would assume the same based on a t-shirt you are wearing, and are not the type of people you want to associate with anyways. And the people that are open to it, or pay no attention to your jewelry, are much more open, interesting people. They are type you want to know. So, maybe you can think of your piercings (or future piercings) that way, and it will make you feel a little better. It works for me, and just encourages me to get more and more piercings and tattoos. I am totally comfortable in my skin, metal, ink and all, and wouldn’t change a thing to please anyone. You only get one body in this life, so you should be able to do with it as you please. I think maybe some people are jealous of those that do so. Maybe they lived their entire lives answering to others and conforming to society’s image of “normal” and now regret it, and take it out on others in a negative way. You gotta do what you feel is right. Live for you and nobody else. In the end, you will be happy you did.

  i believe there is tasteful facial piercings, but if you start to just look like a hot mess cause you have like 5 randomly placed piercings on your face, then it starts to look tacky.
  i have two facial piercings [both sides of my nose], but they are small and like go together, so its not too much for one face.
  the only other facial piercing i would get is a medusa, but never anything else because it would just be too much.
  and seriously, not everyone can pull of facial piercings, some people just look ugly with them.
  too much of anything is a bad thing.

  people these days aren’t very open minded about new things. For example… earrings have been around for ages now and belly button piercings have becomes soooo popular lately that people just see that as normal.
  ok so whatever, i have both of my lobes pierced twice and my bellybutton done but so what? i don’t judge people on there piercings i think that they are beautiful as individuals and have a right to express themselves in there own way.
  my mother thinks all piercings are disgusting and basically insults anyone with a piercing that is on there face. i usually yell at her and tell them that they are nice people and that they shoudn’t be judged by how muchh metal they have in there facee.
  i’m sorry i have a really long answer… i kinda feel strongly about this subjectt aha..

  Don’t you just hate that?
  I have my belly button, gauges and septum but I have to hide them ALL from my parents. And I don’t think I should have to do that. Its my body, my choice. I think piercings make you unique and more beautiful.
  Id just do your piercing yourself. Its not a bad idea, ive pierced tons of stuff. piercers do the same thing they just get paid for it. Ya feel me?

  the only piercing you mentioned that isn’t ‘nasty’ is earrings. Pierced ears don’t look unnatural. My stepson has snakebites and is sorry he got them now. He is having difficulty finding a job, because interviewers aren’t getting a good first impression of him. Some of the other things you mentioned I have no idea what they are so I cannot comment on them.

  everyone has their own opinion and you just have to accept the fact that some people have a huge stick in their *** telling them that piercings are evil, stupid, ugly etc.
  for example. my mom has her eyebrows tattooed…yet she hates my sister’s tattoos. it’s like “wth” right? same stuff.
